LU Sports – Terms & Conditions

Waiver, Release, Media Consent & Program Policies
Please read carefully before accepting. These terms apply to all LU Sports programs, leagues, tournaments, and events.

 

1. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability

Participation in any Liga Union Deportes LLC (LU Sports) program or event involves inherent risks, including injury, disability, or death.

By choosing to participate, you:

• Voluntarily assume all risks related to participation.

• Release and discharge LU Sports, its affiliates, staff, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and event partners ("Releasees") from any liability for injury, loss, or damage—whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

• Agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims, costs, or damages arising from your participation (or your child’s participation).

2. Medical Consent

In the event of injury or emergency, LU Sports staff and certified medical personnel are authorized to administer care. You are responsible for any associated medical expenses.

3. Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to:

• Show respect to teammates, opponents, referees, and staff.

• Play with integrity and sportsmanship.

• Refrain from abusive, violent, or disruptive behavior.

LU Sports reserves the right to remove individuals from events or programs for violations—without refund.

4. Personal Property

LU Sports is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items brought to events.

5. Media & Image Consent

By participating, you grant LU Sports permission to use your (or your child’s) name, image, voice, likeness, and appearance in photos or videos captured at events for promotional or non-commercial purposes.

This includes use on:

• Social media

• Websites

• Marketing materials

• Highlight videos and recap content

Images of minors will not be used to promote commercial products or services without additional consent.

6. Weather, Delays & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all outdoor LU Sports events, tournaments & league play:

• LU Sports events are rain or shine and will proceed unless field conditions are deemed unsafe by the facility or LU Sports staff.

• In the case of weather delays, games may be:

  • Paused and resumed once conditions improve

  • Shortened to fit the adjusted schedule

  • Rescheduled later in the day (if possible)

• LU Sports will make every effort to ensure each team plays the guaranteed number of games, but schedules may be adjusted on-site.

• If an event is canceled before any games begin, participants will receive a 100% credit toward a future LU Sports event.

• If an event is cut short due to weather or other uncontrollable circumstances, no refunds will be issued. However:

  • Partial credits may be offered based on the number of games completed and operational costs incurred.

  • These credits are not guaranteed and are determined at LU Sports’ discretion.

• No credit or refund will be issued for individual no-shows, team forfeits, or voluntary withdrawals.

7. Tournament Policy & Spectator Fees

Applies to select tournaments only

• All tournament registrations are non-refundable.

• Spectator entry fees may apply at some tournament venues and typically range from $5–$10 per person.

8. Jurisdiction & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware and Pennsylvania. Any legal claims or disputes must be handled in the appropriate courts within those states. If any provision is deemed invalid, the remainder will still apply.

9. Acknowledgment

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you confirm that:

• You understand and agree to all policies stated above.

• You accept full responsibility for your participation (or your child’s participation) in all LU Sports programs and events.
